Patch Fittings for Frameless Glass Doors

Patch fittings are the metal clamps that hold a frameless toughened-glass door at its corners and connect it to the floor spring and top pivot. The patches are the only thing holding the door, so the right patch set decides whether it swings smoothly and stays aligned.

Which patch fittings do I need for one frameless glass door?

A basic single glass door needs a top patch, a bottom patch, a top pivot and a floor spring. Add a lock patch if the door must lock, and L patches or overpanel patches if there are fixed glass panels around the door. Our combo sets bundle the core items together.

What glass thickness do patch fittings take?

Patch fittings are made for toughened glass, typically 10 mm or 12 mm thick for doors. Share your glass thickness when you enquire so we can confirm the right fitting.

What is the difference between a patch fitting and a hydraulic patch fitting?

A standard patch set relies on a floor spring set into the floor to control the door. A hydraulic patch fitting has the closing mechanism built into the bottom patch, so no floor cutting is needed.
