Aluminium Profiles

Aluminium Cabinet, Kitchen and Handle Profiles

Aluminium frame profiles let kitchen, crockery and bar-unit shutters take glass, fluted glass or thin panels. The result is lighter and more modern than solid wood shutters. Handle profiles such as G handles and I handles are built into the shutter edge, which gives a clean, handle-less look.

Glassics carries frame profiles in 45 mm, 22 mm and 20 mm widths, G handles (22 mm and 67 mm), I handles (45 mm, 22 mm and 20 mm), 5 mm kani profiles and handles for ultra-slim borders, a 20 mm divider, and stick-on profiles for finishing existing shutters. Pair them with our profile hinges for a complete shutter.

Frequently asked questions

What is a G handle profile?

A G handle is an aluminium profile with a G-shaped section that runs along the top or side edge of a shutter. It gives a finger grip, so the cabinet looks handle-less. Glassics offers 22 mm and 67 mm G handles.

What is a kani profile?

A kani profile is a very slim (around 5 mm) aluminium border used to frame glass shutters with a minimal edge. Glassics supplies a 5 mm kani profile and a matching 5 mm kani handle.

Which hinges work with aluminium cabinet profiles?

Profile shutters use special profile hinges. Glassics supplies 0 crank, 8 crank and 16 crank hinges for full, half and inset overlay shutters.
