Aluminium Profiles

16x45 Aluminium Partition Profiles

The 16x45 profile is one of the most widely used aluminium sections for glass office partitions, cabin walls and interior glass doors. The name comes from the section size: 16 mm deep and 45 mm wide. That gives a slim sightline while keeping enough strength for full-height glass.

Glassics stocks the complete 16x45 system. Top/bottom channels hold the glass, side profiles close the ends, track profiles carry sliding panels, cover and stick-on profiles give a clean finish, and divider profiles split tall panels into sections. The matching 16x45 zinc and MS L connectors are in our Profile Connectors range, and the 45x45 portal pipe works as a post or frame member.

Frequently asked questions

What is a 16x45 aluminium profile?

A 16x45 profile is an aluminium section 16 mm deep and 45 mm wide, used to frame glass partitions and interior doors. The system includes top/bottom, side, track, cover, divider and stick-on profiles that fit together.

What is the difference between 16x45 and 16x35 partition profiles?

Both are 16 mm deep. The 16x45 section is 45 mm wide and the 16x35 section is 35 mm wide. 16x45 gives a sturdier frame for larger panels; 16x35 gives a slimmer, more minimal sightline.

Which connectors fit the 16x45 system?

Glassics supplies 16x45 L connectors in zinc (PC-16x45Z) and mild steel (PC-16x45MS), plus a divider connector (PC-DIV), in the Profile Connectors range.
